The Diet: Day 4

Probably my worst diet day yet. Work gave out free Christmas lunch so how could i RESIST. Free food...woo im there. Turkey, ham, roast vege and gravy ....and the pudding that killed me. Half the pudding because i decided to put my foot down. Everyone else ate the whole lot so i felt really good about myself control. Polished off the rest of the strawberry and cream lollies and vow never to buy them again...they are diet killers in a packet.

Rang my diet friend today, it was like a confession box. Told her all the bad stuff i ate and asked for forgiveness. Then it was her turn - "i had coke today but i made up for it by dancing around my room" ...atleast she is human!

Decided against having dinner tonight. Maybe ill have something microscopic after soccer. Soccer...soccer will wash me of my sins. Promise to run around tonight as oppose to standing next to the goals cherry picking.

Feeling: Christmassy. Happy because its pay day...hoorah.., still not fond of drama queens, gloomy because the sky is crying. Looking forward to buying the "Twilight" series.

The Diet: Day 3

Went for a 30 min run with Mr Marathon today. No, seriously he wasnt a pro marathon runner but he did attend a few fun raiser runs. 21 Km here and there. And there i was Miss 12 mins, lately (were are talking the last 7 yrs) 12 mins was my record. Can anyone say PATHETIC!



So as Mr Marathon ran, and i tried to stay on par with him until my fitness says NO! Then i continued to power walk (sometime power limp, my calf muscles killed) as he continued to go another round. What an inspiration. I made a goal, i was going to run 21km by April at the Run for the Kids. (Think of all the children)!!! Maybe just 14km to start with....im ambitious and fortunately for my pride, i was realistic too.



2 hrs after, i proudly stated my goals to Mr Egg (aka the honest friend who gave me the nickname which inspired the diet). Mr egg replies "haha sif, u won't make it"....ASSHOLE...ill show him!



Anyways feeling quiet good about today. Breakfast was tea (no sugar, no milk) and a banana, lunch was a chicken, avo, spinach and cheese foccacia.....had like 10 strawberry and cream lollies (i needed the sugar fix OK), and then banana before running. Then dinner was a VERY small bowl of rice (3 tablespoons) with 4 califlower and a small 7 x 7 cm piece of fish. On top of that, plenty of warm water.


Feeling: Tired. Unfit but motivated to run 14km by April. Less like an Egg and more like a spastic chicken. Disliking Drama queens and Obscure msn nicknames. Excited about seeing a friend even though she is likely going to make me eat Creme Brulee....i shall work my awesome self control!

Bad girl: i lied about the 10 strawberry and cream lollies...it was more like 16

Highlight: the boys footy training at the oval had a shirt on vs shirt off game....hehehe...

....but i only looked so i can CONFIRM that my bf's body is better.....

....PHEW....SAVED by quick thinking...

The diet, Day 2.

Walked/ran for 2 hours today with my fav person to gossip with which made exercise more bearable. If exercise is meant to de-stress, imagine the wonders it can do when you exercise and bitch at the same time. Feel the difference!



We decided to make this a weekly thing. Exercising at motivating locations. Today was at the beach. We bitched and walked from Brighton to St Kilda and back, overcoming the temptation to spend the emergency $10 on ice cream. Sometimes, our self-control amazes me.



Lunch was at Beach house on Elwood. Between us, we shares some bread and dips and a grilled chicken caesar salad. And hot lemon tea to speed up metabolism and burn fat. Apparently. Having a diet pal is great, she stopped me from ordering a dish with cream and i reminded her that she did not need a fizzy drink after exercise.



We left the beach, sporting 2 hrs worth of calories burnt, a full stomach of healthy lunch and for me sun burn to remind me yet again that there is no such thing as "malaysian skin".



Dinner i had snapper with citrus sauce served with potatoes and an obsession with Vampires... not really, just a huge crush on Edward Cullen (twilight). mmm....he can suck my neck any day! LOL!


Today (7/12/08): 58kg

Feeling: Fulfilled and still like an egg - slightly cooked from the sun. Wants a vampire (not human sucking type). Amber eyes. Preferably Edward Cullen. Impressed with the Snapper at Coco lounge.

Bad girl: because i had lipton ice tea during the movie and there is alot of sugar in that.

Good girl: because i had 2 cups of hot tea to melt the fat.

Adventure number 1: The diet


Day 1:




Its summer and im getting worried. Along with my new muffin top, i have a new nickname. Egg. Pale and round. Two things you DO NOT want to be for the summer.

December issues of women's magazines have the words Tan and Slim all over their covers. Trying to convince women that whats hidden between its glossy pages will assist them in achieving the perfect TAN and SLIM summer bodies which will put Jennifer Hawkins to shame.

Mine at the moment would put Macca's Egg Mc Muffin to shame. If the creative genius who gave me this new nickname wasnt such a danm good friend (unbelievably honest too), i wouldnt be in this position. Id continue drinking up 3 days a week living off cafeteria food. Ive come to realise now is the season for bikinis and harvesting that extra layer was so last winter.

So day 1. Motivated! Very motivated. Woke up and had a healthy breakfast. I don't believe in reading lables and cutting out things that taste good. If i feel that it is good for me, id eat it as a diet food. So breakfast was muesli, yogurt and soymilk. Yes muesli had dried fruits in it, and i KNOW that i would be better off eating FRESH friut. But compare to the bacon and egg toastie i always have, this IS healthy. Im on a diet dammit, not at FAT JAIL for crying out loud.

Im size ten by the way...(its not so bad you say...), im size ten and 5 ft.....and im asian. So unlike our caucasian counterparts, we cant blaim our extra kilos on our double D boobs. That right, i went there!....

Today my diet plan consist of having half a sandwhich for lunch, loads of water and half what i usually eat for dinner. Along with a session on Wii Fit and some stretches. Maybe a walk?

Feeling: Motivated but like an egg! (large size/homebrand)
Short term goal: Lose 2 kg before Bf's christmas party
Long term goal: Flat tummy and abs!
Reward: Some designer bikinis and sexy summer gear
